EPS7.06 Hospital admissions due to pulmonary exacerbation in the first five years of life in children with cystic fibrosis in Ireland: the Irish Comparative Outcome Study of cystic fibrosis (ICOS)

Abstract

Objectives: ICOS is a historical cohort study comparing children clinically diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) to those diagnosed through the newborn screening programme. Newborn screening was introduced in 2011 in Ireland. This study aims to assess prevalence and factors associated with hospitalisation for pulmonary exacerbation of CF in the first five years of life.
