Abstract
Application complex assembly analysis capabilities of the Ansys Workbench is to solve the difficulty of the torsion angle of the steering column EPS, in certain conditions, the EPS steering column stiffness is analyzed accurately calculate. Its maximum torsion angle is 1.2148°, and it was compared with the experimental result. According to the larger part of the deformation and stress remodeling, it realized the parameterization of model size and applied the Design Xplorer module for steering column structure for optimization design. The optimal result shows that the maximum deformation of steering decreased by 3.70mm. Optimize the design of the steering column to provide a reference, to achieve a size parameter in Simulation and Optimization Module DX transfer, on the axis of maximum deformation amount calculated by Ansys DX size parameters designed to meet the requirements to get a new dimension.
