Abstract
We have observed the EPR spectra of divalent manganese in zinc germanate single crystals and solid state reacted powders. Two distinct spectra are seen which are interpreted in terms of Mn2+ substituting for Zn2+ in its two inequivalent sites. For one of the sites D=742×10−4cm−1 and E=192×10−4cm−1, and for the other site D=481×10−4cm−1 and E=156×10−4cm−1.
