Abstract
Background: Our pediatric catheter associated urinary tract infection (CAUTI) prevention team was formed in August 2015 to address a patient safety need. Our CAUTI rate, specifically in our pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), was consistently above national benchmarks, resulting in unnecessary harm for our patients.
