Abstract
Mike Post (born in 1944) began his musical life with piano lessons at the age of six. He quickly learned other instruments, and he studied music for one year in college. He worked with a number of bands, some of which he formed himself, and accompanied some star artists. In 1968 he was hired as the musical director for The Andy Williams Show; he was the youngest musician in television history to hold such a position. He had a variety of other musical accomplishments (see the appendix at the end of the interview) and ultimately began scoring television programs, the work that has brought him his greatest fame.
