Abstract
The differential diagnosis of episodic loss of consciousness, lying chiefly between syncope and epilepsy, can be challenging and potentially confusing, particularly in the absence of a reliable witness account. We report a patient with episodic loss of consciousness in whom targeted genetic testing contributed to diagnosis.
