Abstract
Summary The sensilla on the epiphallus of male crickets are necessary for the correct transfer of spermatophores to females during copulatory behaviour. This report identifies, for the first time, a specific region within the terminal abdominal ganglion that is likely to process sensory information received from the epiphallus during copulatory activity.
