Abstract
Reviewing Chapters 3 to 10, it is apparent that in the Greater Mekong Subregion there has been a substantial increase in both the number of people who cross borders and the quantity of cross-border trade. At border areas, border industries have been developed; casinos have been built and/or have been designated as border trade zones. In other words, numerous areas have been activated as border economic zones.
