Abstract
ABSTRACT.We describe an infant who had epileptic apnea in the newborn period. Response to pain was decreased during the event. The corresponding electrographic phenomena were most marked over the left central and midtemporal regions. A CT scan showed findings compatible with a hemorrhagic infarction in the left temporoparietal region. The seizures responded to phenobar-bitone. The patient has remained seizure free and was neurode-velopmentally normal when assessed at 41 months of age.
