Abstract
Successful implantation and pregnancy is a complex process. CBA/J female x DBA/2 male (CBAxDBA) is an established murine model of early pregnancy loss. It has been previously reported that there is a difference in the expression of tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases (TIMP)2 in this group compared to DBA/2 female x CBA/J male (DBAxCBA) controls. The purpose of this study was to examine the methylation patterns of the promoter region of TIMP2 to look for differential methylation between the two groups (parent of origin specific methylation patterns).
