Epigenetic histone modifications in T cells by UTX, a histone H3 lysine 27 (H3K27) demethylase, are critical for robust cellular and humoral immunity against chronic viral infections. Whether UTX-modulated epigenetic changes affect type 2 immunity, including allergic sensitization and antigen-driven anaphylaxis, is unclear.
