Abstract

Brucella epididymo-orchitis (BEO), first described by Hardy in 1928, is a focal genitourinary complication of human brucellosis. This disease is endemic in many parts of the world, but might present as a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge to practicing physicians in nonendemic areas, such as Hong Kong. In the present study, we describe a case of BEO and present a literature review of the aetiology, diagnosis and management of this rare clinical condition.
