Abstract

Four cases of epidermoid cyst of the testis occurring in children are discussed. These lesions generally present as an asymptomatic intratesticular nodule, which cannot be distinguished clinically from other forms of testicular tumor. The cysts are intratesticular, contain keratinized debris, and are lined by stratified squamous epithelium supported by a wall of fibrous tissue. Although these cysts are probably of teratomatous derivation, they are benign. Four cases of epidermoid cyst of the testis occurring in children are discussed.
