Abstract

A case of epidermal nevus syndrome in a 10-year-old Negro boy is reported. Oral features are described which have not been reported previously. The clinical and histologic findings would seem to indicate nevus unius lateris, but the associated findings could also suggest nevus sebaceus of Jadassohn as part of a neurocutaneous syndrome. There is simultaneous involvement of the scalp, neck, face, eyes, buccal mucosa, tongue, maxillary alveolar mucosa, and gingiva. The teeth are hypoplastic.
