Abstract

Objective To investigate the incidence and related factors of stress urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse in women with pelvic floor dysfunction (PFD) at Xinfeng County. And to explore the risk factors of pelvic floor dysfunction. Methods Stratified cluster sampling was used to identify the subjects. 1 902 women were investigated by questionnaire and took gynecological examination. Univariate analysis (χ2 test) and multivariate Logistic regression analysis were used to screen the risk factors of stress urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse in the women. Results The 1 902 women’s average age was 25-84, with an average of (51±10) . The incidence of female stress urinary incontinence was 40.1% (763/1 902) ; the incidence of pelvic organ prolapse was 39.1% (744/1 902) ; the incidence of stress urinary incontinence complicating with pelvic organ prolapse was 38.0% (722/1 902) ; and the incidence of pelvic floor dysfunction was 42.8% (814/1 902) . The survey showed that the incidences of stress incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse increased with age and the number of vaginal deliveries; menopause, occupation, obesity, elevated abdominal pressure, delivery way, and other risk factors were the causes. Conclusion According to the influencing factors of pelvic floor dysfunction, active preventive measures should be taken to prevent the incidence of pelvic floor dysfunction.
