Abstract

Background: When the epidemic broke out, China deployed medical personnel from various provinces to support Wuhan, Hubei Province. We aimed to describe epidemiological characteristics of medical team members who support Wuhan against COVID-19. Methods: We adopted a stratified sampling method and selected the fourth team sent by Anhui Provincial Hospital, with a total of 137 members as our subjects. Four main risk factors were collected, including basic information, preparations before going to Wuhan, life issues and working issues after going to Wuhan. Findings: 110(80.29%) members completed the questionnaire, of which, 77(70.00%) female and 33(30.00%) male. 84.4% female and 93.9% male were familiar with the infection prevention and control knowledge, and 89.6% female and 93.9% male were familiar with the COVID-19 knowledge.57.1%female and 57.6% male didn’t had first- aid experience.51.9% female and 51.5% male felt the DC was poor, 64.9% female and 48.5% male SQ was poor. 78.2% members was UWMRS, 60.0% members had DCWP, There was just 13.0% female and 6.1% male felt AoBI. Interpretation: The team members were familiar with COVID-19 infection control knowledge, and AoBI was not high. The majority of the members were women. Most of them had no first-aid experience before going to Wuhan, and felt DC and SQ was poor, meanwhile was UWMRS and had DCWP after going to Wuhan.
