Summary

Introduction

The Chinese Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported an outbreak of cases of pneumonia in the Huanan Seafood Market, Wuhan city, Hubei Province, on December 31, 2019[1]. The cases were first reported in the areas surrounding the Huanan Seafood Market, and according to current epidemiological data, SARS-CoV-2 is transmitted between people[3,4,5,6]. Infection with SARS-CoV-2 has several clinical manifestations in humans. The current studies have mainly been based on case studies in Wuhan city, and there have been few studies on the situation in Guizhou Province, as it is one of the provinces with the fewest infected patients in Southwest China. This article describes the epidemiological features of COVID-19 patients treated in Guizhou Provincial People's Hospital and the clinical features, countermeasures and therapeutic outcomes in patients with nonsevere and severe COVID-19. The aim is to provide additional information to improve the understanding of the COVID-19 pandemic
