Abstract

Objective To explore the status of AIDS epidemic in cross-country marriage (CCM) population in Baoshan City, so as to provide references for the countermeasures. Methods Information of CCM group from 2010 to 2015 in border area (Tengchong city and Longling county) in Baoshan City, AIDS data, HIV detection and mother-to-childhood interruption in pregnant women situation were collected and analyzed. Results HIV/AIDS cases with nationality of Burma reported in border area of Tengchong city and Longling county had an increasing trend during 2010 to 2015. There were totally 6 600 CCM households with HIV detection rate of 59.92% and HIV positive rate of 1.80% in these two areas by the end of 2015. The positive HIV detection rate in pregnant women of this CCM group was 2.05% and of the success rate of mother-to-childhood interruption was 98.41%. Conclusions The AIDS epidemic in CCM population in Baoshan City is severe, and it is difficult to prevent and control. It requires multi-sector participation.
