Abstract

Colorectal cancer (CRC) patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) are at a higher risk of developing cardiovascular complications, in part due to T2DM treatments. We compared the cardiovascular safety of metformin vs sulfonylureas, two common T2DM therapies, in elderly patients with CRC and T2DM.
