EPH107 An Evaluation of the Relationship between QTc Prolonging Medications, Tisdale Risk Scores and Mortality Using a Nationally Representative Electronic Health Records Database

Abstract

QTc prolongation is associated with the risk of developing Torsade de Pointes (TdP), a serious and life-threatening arrhythmia. Some medications are associated with QTc prolongation. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between mortality and medications known to prolong the QTc while accounting for other risk factors that comprise the Tisdale QTc risk score.
