Abstract

The estimation of gestational age (GA) is a basic requirement of prenatal medicine. While ultrasonography has been long used for this purpose, such standardisation is not yet available for fetal MRI. With increasing use of MRI, however, the need for such automated measurement is increasingly felt. We hereby designed a simple graphical user interface for automated GA calculation based on standardised MRI measurement. The data base provided by Kline-Fath et al which contain a look up table including the previously estimated gestational age and the measured indices was used as the base of estimations in the software. The Caretta Software, GUI Design Studio was used for programming. This software let the user to generate interactive prototypes without writing a code. The GA will be estimated just in two steps using this software. At the first page the user can select the index of interest which was measured on the MRI image. Another page will open and the measured value should be entered and simply the estimated gestational age will be appeared on the page.
