Abstract
The Clinical Genome Resource (ClinGen) Somatic Clinical Domain Working Group (CDWG) (https://www.clinicalgenome.org/working-groups/somatic/) is a multi-institutional team engaged in developing processes and resources to provide accurate curation and classification of somatic variants in cancer. Although many variant knowledgebases have strong representation of variants observed in adult-onset malignancies, curation of variants relevant for pediatric cancers are far less prevalent. Pediatric cancers often have distinct molecular signatures and clinical implications from adult malignancies, strongly emphasizing the need for this curation.
