EP02.03-013 Should Visceral Pleural Invasion Be Prognostic Factor in Early-Stage Lung Adenocarcinoma With Tumor Size 3cm or Less?

Abstract

The presence of visceral pleural invasion (VPI) in adenocarcinoma 5cm or less in size means stage T2 regardless of tumor size. However, it is controversial whether VPI is a poor prognostic factor in patients with stage IA adenocarcinoma. The purpose of this study was to investigate the prognostic significance of VPI in early lung adenocarcinoma with tumor size 3 cm or less.
