Abstract

Taskin et al (Int J Pediatr Otorhinolaryngol 2022;162:111297; PMID 36088733) collected data on children undergoing cochlear implantation for sensorineural hearing loss at the University of Health Sciences Istanbul Research and Training Hospital from 2019–2020. Sixty children (mean age 6.5 years) were included in the study. Electrocardiography (ECG) revealed various minor or nonspecific abnormalities in 25% of patients but importantly identified 4 cases reported as long QTc, although 2 were only borderline.
