Abstract
In this paper, the Edge Template - Triangulation-based target Size Estimator (ET-TSE) algorithm is presented to estimate the static target size at the EO image. The target size information is important information for accurate image target tracking. But the EO imaging sensor cannot generate distance between the missile and target to calculate the target size. To overcome the problem, we propose using the ET-TSE algorithm, which is based on the edge template and triangulation. The performance of the proposed method is tested using the target intercept scenario. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has suitable performance for accurate EO target size estimation.
