Abstract

The regioselectivity of peroxidase-catalyzed oxidative phenolic coupling of monohalogenated tyrosine derivatives could be altered by the halogen substituent and the enzyme-substrate ratio. This ability to shift the coupling pattern (CC vs. CO) provides chemists with added versatility for synthetic applications.
