Abstract

Enzymatic derivatizations of tryptophan residues in peptides and proteins, free tryptophan, and its metabolites, have been achieved with a new type of O2-linked dehydrogenase with broad substrate specificity, termed tryptophan side chain oxidase (TSO) types I and II (TSO I/II) from Pseudomonas (Kanda et al., this proceedings).
