Abstract
James E. Singley, AWWA president‐elect, discussed association programs and activities with Marcia Lacey, managing editor of the Journal, in an interview at Denver headquarters March 7. Singley is vice‐president of James M. Montgomery Engineers and professor emeritus at the University of Florida in Gainesville, where he has been on the faculty since 1967. Singley became an AWWA member in 1963 and has served as member or chairman of 19 different standing or ad hoc committees. He is the recipient of AWWA's Diamond Pin Club Award (1969), Ambassador Award (1970), Water Quality Division Best Paper Award (1972), Fuller Award (1976), Research Award (1983). and Honorary Membership (1984).
