Abstract

With recent advances in radio science and growing interest in environmental monitoring, the remote sensing of natural phenomena has become an important field of study. In this article remote sensing by the scattering and diffraction of radio waves is considered. This can provide information about the size, shape and distance of remote objects. Principles of radiowave surveillance are given and a target adaptive radar system under development is described
