Abstract

Many of the world's largest chemical and pharmaceutical companies are becoming increasingly environment-friendly, according to a study that aims to inform the public in an objective manner about the environmental performance of different companies. matters are no longer a provocative topic for most of the companies. Some companies are really interested in optimizing their environmental performance, concludes the latest Top 50 report of the Hamburg Environmental Institute. The institute, founded in 1989, is an independent nonprofit organization that undertakes scientific research on global environmental issues. Its funding comes from the donations of individuals, foundations, and corporations.
