This Special Issue deals with the entire spectrum, from the estimation or measurement of odour emissions and the dispersion of odorous substances in the atmosphere to the determination of setback or separation distances and an estimation of odour annoyance levels in a neighbourhood. As Brancher et al [2] outlined, the odour impact criteria (OICs) of different jurisdictions do not a priori ensure analogous separation distances for an equivalent level of protection.
