Abstract
The activity level in water‐related environmental law was relatively low during 2011, with no new or reauthorized environmental laws enacted. There continued to be concern over the environmental impacts of energy extraction and production. A significant number of multi‐million dollar enforcement actions were taken against wastewater utilities with major, continuing wet weather flow problems.
