Abstract
The study presented here is an analysis of the environmental impacts leading to desertification. Landsat TM, Landsat MSS and IRS-LISS-II data were analysed, along with surface (meteorological) and statistical data with the aid of a Geographical Information System, indicating the different degrees of severity of desertification.
