Abstract
ABSTRACT Rapid depletion of fossil fuels and an alarming global increase in the rate of crude oil have made a huge research scope. The researcher in the automotive sector, in particular, to look at powerful and environmentally friendly alternatives to respond to the growing demand for fuel. The advent of oxyhydrogen gas or HHO gas or brown gas is gaining high importance as a clean source of energy. Although many methods are available, HHO is effectively produced by electrolysis using Titanium electrode and Sodium sulfate as the electrolyte. A novel mixture of HHO, air, and gasoline is eco-friendly and greatly improves engine performance. The experimental results show a nominal increase of 5% to 7% in thermal efficiency with fuel consumption was remarkably improved by 25% to 35% in volume basis with addition HHO. Accordingly, the mixture also showed a 7% to 11% and around 50% reduction in emissions of harmful carbon monoxide and unburned hydrocarbon under varied load conditions.
