Abstract

The National Maglev Transportation Engineering R&D Center organized an electromagnetic environmental measurement for the normal conductive high-speed maglev transportation system in Shanghai. The measurement places included the electromagnetic fields in the occupational and public environment, and were classified in different frequency ranges according to the characteristics of electromagnetic fields generated by a high-speed maglev transportation system. By comparing the emission limits of current exposure standards of the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection, the Institute of Electrical Engineers, and the U.S. National Institute of Industrial Hygiene and National Standard of P.RC. The conclusion indicated that the high-speed maglev transportation system based on the technology of the Shanghai Maglev Demonstration Line can meet the requirements of the outlined environmental protection standards.
