Abstract

Environment friendly oxidants e.g. H2O2 and anhydrous urea hydrogen peroxide adduct (UHP) epoxidize non-functionalized alkenes (epoxide yield 40–99%) with high enantioselectivity (up to 94% ee) in 4–15 h using two recyclable homochiral dimeric Mn(III) salen complexes in presence of PyN-oxide with the catalysts reusability several times when UHP was used as an oxidant.
