Abstract

Hugo Medrano es actor, director, y cofundador de Teatro GALA (Grupo de Artistas Latinoamericanos) en Washington, DC. La siguiente entrevista se centra en su exitosa trayectoria profesional y su filosofía de la representación del teatro áureo hispánico dentro de y para una sociedad multicultural y plurilingüe.Megan Echevarría, associate professor of Spanish and Film Media Studies at the University of Rhode Island, earned her PhD at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She specializes in Spanish literary, cultural and film studies, with keen interest in equity, social engagement, and interculturality. Her humanistic writing focuses primarily on narrative and film. As a teacher-scholar, her work emphasizes the role of the humanities–literature in particular–at all levels of language programs and in innovative interdisciplinary curricula. She has contributed to a number of textbook programs designed for second language learners and heritage speakers of Spanish.
