Abstract

According to Chell & Ozkan, (2010), an Entrepreneur is someone who is willing to bear the risk of a business venture where there is a significant chance for making Economic Development. For the development of economy and progress of the country, more entrepreneurs should venture to establish their start-ups. For people, to become entrepreneurs, awareness is the key requirement. The best period to create awareness is during student life. Awareness involves inspiring graduates to give up a lucrative job and work towards a risk-oriented start-up establishment. The role of Entrepreneurship-cells (E-cells) and E-clubs pitch in here. This paper dwells on developing and motivating the inclination towards entrepreneurship in university campuses through clubs. The paper involves study of History and current global scenario of entrepreneurship ecosystem in campuses, with focus on Indian Universities. A successful model of an e-cell, to create entrepreneurial awareness is discussed in this paper. Further, the fundamentals of a startup company is discussed. The outcome of the research is to suggest successful model of an entrepreneur club to nurture innovation at Universities based on a thorough investigation.
