Abstract

ABSTRACT This paper reports the study conducted on entrepreneurship and non-entrepreneur- ship student groups comprising students from one university and one polytechnic in Singapore. The aim of the study was to examine the discriminatory power of the Entrepreneurial Attitude Orientation (EAO) Scale in Singapore and the relationship, if any, between the intention to start a business and the EAO subscales. The findings showed that the EAO subscales were able to differentiate between entrepreneurship and non-entrepreneurship students. There was also a positive and significant relationship between intention to start a business and the EAO subscales. It was also found that the EAO subscales discriminated well between those who indicated a high intention versus those who indicated a low intention to start a business.
