Retirement is a period that everyone must get into after a particular period of a successful career inpaid employment of organization especially in igovernment owned establishments in addition, there islife after retirement that must be sustained to avoid different maladjustment issues iniemotional,social and psychological well-being. In iorder ito ensure that retirement becomes a period of wisdom,relaxation and happiness, entrepreneurship skill is needed for a sustainable retirement among retirees.While in still employment sector the ineed for skill acquisition is non-negotiable, for sustainabilityin retirement. This paper therefore Focus on concept of retirement, retirement anxiety andentrepreneurship, reasons for retirement, areas of entrepreneurship development of entrepreneurshipskills in ithe following areas: skill acquisition/development, skill deployment, Skill management,financial and personnel management, organizational management and innovation. Suggestions weremade on how these areas can be developed and managed for a sustainable retirement life.
