Abstract

Fast food chain store managers are all too aware of the importance of knowledge-based dynamic capabilities in today's increasingly competitive market. Drawing on dynamic capabilities theory, organizational learning theory and entrepreneurial orientation (EO), this study conducted a survey of 132 store managers in a fast-food restaurant chain in Taiwan. Empirical results suggest that EO and learning mechanisms directly affect knowledge-based dynamic capabilities, and that these knowledge-based dynamic capabilities directly affect store performance. EO positively affects learning mechanisms.
