Abstract

Entomophthora tabanivora n. sp. is described from a parous Tabanus nigrovittatus. Conidiophores were abundant on the membranous areas of the head, thorax, and anterior abdominal sternites. They were determinate, macronemous, unbranched, cream-colored, and measured 89.1 × 18.9 μm. Primary conidia were multinucleate, broadly pyriform, and measured 36.7 × 32.4 μm. Hyphal bodies were branched, coenocytic, and averaged 54.8 μm long and 15.3 μm wide.
