Abstract

The enthalpy increments of barium zirconate (BaZrO 3) were measured with a drop calorimeter between 407 and 775 K. From these measurements, and high-temperature X-ray diffraction analysis, it is concluded that BaZrO 3 has no phase transitions up to 1375 K. From an assessment of the available literature, the thermochemical properties of BaZrO 3 were derived.
