Abstract

The standard molar enthalpies of sublimation of M(η5-C5H5)Cl2 (M = Ti, V, Zr, Nb, Hf, and W) compounds, at 298.15 K, were determined by the Knudsen effusion method to be: 124.4±2.9 kJ⋅mol−1 (M = Ti), 108.5±4.6 kJ⋅mol−1 (M = Zr), 110.2±2.9 kJ⋅mol−1 (M = Hf), 140.1±7.4 kJ⋅mol−1 (M = V), 127.4±4.4 kJ⋅mol−1 (M = Nb), and 120.7±8.6 kJ⋅mol−1 (M = W). The results obtained show a tendency to linearly decrease with increasing metal atomic radius.
