Abstract
Enthalpies of solution for 1,2-dichloroethane, 1,3-dichloropropane, 1,4-dichlorobutane, and 1,5-dichloropentane in water have been determined at temperatures T = 288.15 K, 308.15 K, and 318.15 K. In the solution process the concentrations were regarded as infinitely dilute. From the enthalpies of solution at different temperatures, heat capacities of solution and partial molar heat capacities have been calculated. The results of the partial molar heat capacities showed that the additivity rules for the partial molar heat capacity are valid.
