As schools begin to include more digital texts, and eventually use digital texts exclusively, SLPs must consider the distinctive features of digital texts and how to strategically incorporate them within intervention sessions as well consultation and collaborative teaching sessions. In this article, I focus on providing in-depth background information for digital literacy in relation to a presentation I did for the American Speech-Language Hearing Association's (ASHA's) online Adolescent Language and Literacy conference in March of 2013.
