Abstract
The aerial parts of Palafoxia arida gave in addition to a known ent-pimarene derivative 10 further ones, a manoyl oxide derivative and a new geranyl ester. From P. texana var. ambigua three known E-biformene derivatives were isolated. The structures were elucidated by high field NMR spectroscopy and the chemotaxonomy of the difficult genus Palafoxia is discussed briefly.
