Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present some results of Induced Polarization (IP), Eletrorresistivity and Self Potential (SP) geophysical surveys in a local soil sinking occurrence. This survey and the anomalies detected alowed to map areas with land colapses problems and areas of limestones occurrences. The regional and local geology data were analised and then the geophysical anomalies could be correlated to a carst zone. Localy, we could also correlate the geophysical anomalies to soil movements and to filled caves originated from the ancient limestone mines.
