Abstract

Entrepreneurship in Brazil is thriving, driving the economy and benefiting society. However, in biotechnology, entrepreneurs face unique challenges, requiring broad technological knowledge due to regulation and competitiveness, spanning different areas of activity. In this context, this study proposes an approach to promote entrepreneurship in biotechnology, aiming to support and empower entrepreneurs in this challenging environment. The research involved literature review and focused interviews, using storytelling technique to describe the profile of biotechnology entrepreneurs through their stories. Gaps in the entrepreneurial process were identified, including lack of knowledge in business management and the need to seek opportunities to raise funds and add value to the product. Developing entrepreneurial competence in biotechnology requires establishing networks for partnerships, recognizing differences between academia and industry, and implementing effective management.
