Abstract

The chapters in this book were inspired by the profusion of meanings leisure takes on in the contemporary city, where the various forms of postmodern culture occupy increasingly central positions in urban organisation and leisure and entertainment are becoming more and more active components of the wider process of regeneration of post-industrial cities.
